Towne Services began its operations in 1964 as a local package delivery service. Roy McNair the company’s founder, purchased the company’s first piece of equipment, a panel truck, and started fulfilling the needs of local and area customer needs for the movement of specialized items such as pianos, household goods, and office furniture.
In 1969 Towne Services was awarded approval from the Department of Defense (DOD) to provide packing, moving and storage services for our nation’s military families. Since that time Towne Services has been the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding service and commitment to excellence. To this day Towne Services continues to proudly provide these services.
In 1994, San Antonio based – Towne Services became an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving. For more than 25 years Towne Services has exceeded Wheaton’s “Customer First” philosophy while serving and satisfying customers throughout the World.
The professional staff of Towne Services has more than 150 years of combined experience in the moving industry. As an approved Military Contractor and warehouse we continually work within our industry and with the Military Transportation office to service you, our customer, more efficiently.
