Ben Kogan

Ben started as a mover on his second day in the United States by running endless walk-ups of NYC. He got hands-on experience of all the business intricacies working for a Brooklyn-based moving company. Having a burning desire to be a part of an American dream and a different view on the moving process, Ben founded Basic Moving in 2005 with one old yellow truck and a secretary desk.

Today, Basic Moving is an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving representing the nation’s fourth largest van line in the Greater New York City area.

Basic Moving has been recognized by many prestigious industry awards, such as Agent of the Month, Total Quality Commitment and numerous Sales and Hauling awards, all from Wheaton World Wide Moving.

Ben is a Certified Moving Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Office and Industrial Consultant (COIC) through the  American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA).
