Olympia Moving & Storage awarded Agent of the Year Service Excellence Award from American Trucking Associations

Olympia Moving & Storage, an interstate agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving, earned the Agent of the Year Service Excellence Award from the American Trucking Associations Moving & Storage Conference this week at the MSC Annual Meeting in New Orleans. The award reflects the commitment by the ATA MSC and the industry to excellent customer service. The Service Excellence award is presented to an agent nominated by its affiliated van line (based on customer surveys and van line experience) and is chosen by a panel of industry experts.

Michael Gilmartin founded his moving and storage company in 1993 in Boston with two trucks and a small crew. The agency now has more than 300 employees and four locations in Boston, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Austin and last year was the first in Wheaton World Wide Moving’s nearly 80-year history to earn the van line’s Agent of the Year award three times (in 2007, 2013 and 2021) based on its excellent customer service, safety record, and reliability. Further, Olympia Moving & Storage has earned the Wheaton Agent of the Month distinction 11 times since it joined Wheaton as an agent in 1996, with the most recent awarded in July 2023.

Other recent awards include the 2023 Customer Loyalty award, earned by the D.C.-area location, and the 2023 Top 10 National Accounts award, the 2023 Gold Hauling award and the 2023 Gold Sales award, won by the Olympia Moving & Storage agency group. Dan Sheehan of the Olympia team earned membership in the 2023 Achievers Club, and three Olympia drivers earned Driver of the Month distinctions in 2023: David Engulu in January, Heather Maiden in April and Monel Soporean in December. Finally, Olympia driver Ed Sopko earned the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from Wheaton for his 45 years as a household goods driver.
